    The astronimical observotary on the roof of the classroom building has been completed. It provided opportunities for the amateur astronomers. Due to the limit of space, please apply first if you want to use the facilities. We will arrange it for you.

        The workshop attended by class teachers of innovative education was held from Feb. 29th to March 1st. Mr. Niu (Grade Teacher of innovative classes), and Ms. Gao Lingfen, Ms. Li Yuhua   and Ms. Li Junhua (who have much experience with the innovative education) also turned up in the workshop. Ms. Liang Yuxue(Vice-priciple), Ms. Lu Qingqing(Dean of Education Section) and Mr. Tu Yongyong (Dean of Moral Education Section) also took part in the meeting.
      All the teachers shared their experience and ideas on innovative education.

    Mr. Zhao Deqing was awarded as Science Star for his special contribution to the science education.from 2006 to 2007.
    Mr. Li Tao was awarded as Haiyun Star for his outstanding job in PE education.
    Mrs. Shi Lili and Mr. Ding Bohua was awarded as Outstanding Science Teacher for their special contribution to the science education in 2007.
    Mr. Sun Dan was awarded as Outstanding PE Teacher for his special achievement in 2007.

    Two teams, Nature and Best from Grade 10 took part in the Beijing Business Challenge organized by Junior Achievement China. In the competition were 32 teams of high school students from high schools such as the High School Affliated to Renmin University of China, Beijing 4th High School, the High School Affliated to Beijing Normal University, the Experimental High School Attached to Beijing Normal University, Beijing Chen Jinglun High School, Beijing No. 2 Middle School etc, and 16 teams from universities such as Beijing University, Tsinghua University, Beihang University etc.

The round in the morning was done in six groups and each group with eight teams. Nature won the first place in group A. And this sent them directly into group A of afternoon round which was made up the first place teams in the morning. In the afternoon, Nature won over the three university teams and the other four high school teams and finally won the championship of the challenge.
The four students of the group received the certificate and 800 reward from Ja and they were also sponsered by JA to take part in the HP Global Business Chanllenge. The other group Best also made good achievement in the competition.
Their tutors are Jing Dongfeng(politics teacher), and volunteers Xia Liang, Zhao Hua, Huang Mingli, Li Dagang, and Mu Zi.

      Because of the excellent results in competition, High School Attached to CNU won the Excellent Organization Prize for the First Foreigen Students Chinese Composition Competition of Primary School and Middle School. Also the International Department got the prize.

    The final of the Sixth Host Competition was held on Dec. 20th after two months' first round and second round. It was an exciting competition rose great interests among students. The six competitors all had special styles and their excellent behaviour made the host imitation period enjoyable. Quizzes on different aspects showed us the competitors ability to cope with differenct situations while the interview of each host provided the competitors an opportunity to show their personalities and their feeling and thought on the life and society. Therefore the competition tested not only the performing talent of competitors but their qualities as well. The VCR played at the end got audience to know more about the everyday life of the competitors. The brillian competition was ended with the best wishes from the host.

    High School Attached to CNU was awarded The Most Infuencial Middle School in Beijing by media such as Morning Post, Sina Education, Education Channel of Qianlong, Education Face to Face of Beijing News etc.
The Teaching and Researching Department was awarded as 2005-2007 Model Department by Haidian Education Committee.
    High School Attached to CNU was awarded 2006-2007 Model School on Students Physcology Health Care.

During their visit, the visitors attended different classes. The experience left them a good impression. The teachers also shared ideas on teacher training, school managing and other school issues with Mrs. Jin Xiaoli(Secretary of the Party), Mrs. Liang Yuxue(Vice Principle), Tu Yongyong(Deputy of the Moral Education Department) and some class teachers. Mrs Liu Yanli and Mr. Wang Wenpeng held a meeting of students from two schools to exchange their experience in school life. Our school also arranged some cutural lessons for the visitors.
All the visitor were satisfied with what they experienced here. Mrs. Guo Lingrong, principle of the Pioneer College said in her letter that they learned a lot from the exchange programm. Teachers got opportunity to learn advanced education thoughts and highly effective manage system of the school which broden their views. The students of our school are mature and dilligent, which left a deep impression. They would learn from our successful education modle and management.

    The Model United Nations Society was founded on 22nd November. Principle, Vice Pinciple, other school leaders. Deputy Chief of the Embassy of Slovak Republic and Zhang Fan(a famous scholar)The founding ceremony was held in the conference hall. Students expressed their understanding of principles and purposes of the Model United Nations by presentaions. Deputy Chief of the Embassy of Slovak Republic made introductions to the geography, history, cultures and economy of Slovak Republic and they answered the questions as well. After that, Mr. Zhang Fan gave a speech on the world relations and United Nations. All students participating in the event learned a lot from the speeches and are attracted by the Model United Nations. This, is surely a good start which will lead to more changllenging events later.
