            Mr. Shi Yanlun(the principle) was awarded Beijing Outstanding Principle
     by Beijing Municipal Commition of Education and Bureau of Education of Beijing.

    Twenty-five students, accompanied by the principle and the teacher, came to our school for the cultural exchange program. Principle Shi Yanlu and Vice-Principle Liu Qiang welcomed our guests. The students experienced various classes, such as Chinese calligraphy(by Wang Deqian), Peking Opera(by Wang Peitong), Oral Chinese(by Naren Tuya), Chinese Knots(by Zhang Rui), Chinese Painting(by Wen Hong), Traveling in Beijing(by Gao Guoxin). They also enjoyed basketball and pingpong lessons as wel as a short training of Taiji. All these courses helped the French students to have a better understanding of Chinese culture. They also entered the daily classes and had a basketball match with Chinese students. Besides the activities in school, they went to Xi'an and Chengde.
At the farewell party, French students and Chinese students sang beautiful songs and put on excellent performances.

   The Model United Nations Society was founded on 22nd November. Principle, Vice Pinciple, other school leaders. Deputy Chief of the Embassy of Slovak Republic and Zhang Fan(a famous scholar)The founding ceremony was held in the conference hall. Students expressed their understanding of principles and purposes of the Model United Nations by presentaions. Deputy Chief of the Embassy of Slovak Republic made introductions to the geography, history, cultures and economy of Slovak Republic and they answered the questions as well. After that, Mr. Zhang Fan gave a speech on the world relations and United Nations. All students participating in the event learned a lot from the speeches and are attracted by the Model United Nations. This, is surely a good start which will lead to more changllenging events later.

    Zhang Kaixun(a famouse scientist) gave students of Grade 11 a lecture named Creation of Civilization--Looking Back and Forward to the Human Inventions. Professor Zhang Kaijun graduated from Radio Electronics Department of Beijing University, majoring in electronic physics. He works on Principle of Sensing Device. His invention won the second prize of Nation Invetions. His other inventions won French Secretary of Defence Award, Hungary Talent Award, Geneva Award, Knight Medal of Belgium and Gold Medal of Germany International Invetions. He was awarded Scientist Making Outstanding Contributions to the Nation. Now, Professor Zhang Kaixun is on the Standing Committee of China Association for Science and Technology, Vice-Chairman of China Invetion Association, and Vice-Chairman of Beijing Association for Science and Technology. Professor Zhang are devoted to popular science among the youth and has given numerous speeches in high schools and universities.
The speech in school was held by Grade 11 with the help of Teaching and Research Section. Deputy Zhao hosted the event. Vice-president Liang gave Professor Zhang a warm welcome

   In 2007 National High School Chemistry Competition, Zeng Tian, Ma Yanbo, Chen Yiwen, Ma Xiaojing, Tancheng, Zhang Hao won the second prizes and Jin Hanbo, Chen Hao, Ren Yanchen the third prizes. Yang Xiaohong and Wang Xiaolei are the tutors.
In the 24th National High School Physics Competition, Ma Yanbo, Wang Shuo, Hu Mingxuan, and Bian Yuyang won the second prizes. Eight students won the second prizes and eleven won the third prizes in the earlier competition in Beijing. Their tutors are Yu Wantang, Tian Jian, Fan Hongfei, Xu Jianfeng, Zhu Xingzuo and Ren Hong.
In 2007 National High School Math Competition, Bian Yuyang and Jin Hanbo won the second prizes. Wang Shuo, Hu Nan, Liu Peiran, Wang Qi won the third prizes. Their tutors are Shen Jie, Huang Fengsheng and Xue Zhongjun.    .

      In 2007 National Biology League Match, Cao Yuhan won the second prize and Gao Xueling and Zou Siwen both won the third place. Their tutors are Tang Hong and Wang Wenbin.

In order to prepare for the Beijing Model United Nations Conference For High School Students 2007, Ma Ning(teacher from the Moral Education Section) together with Liu Jiabin(Class 2 Grade 11), Hou Chuang(Class 3 Grade 11), and Cao Yifan(Class 5 Grade 11) paid a visit to the Embassy of Slovak Republic. Embassador met with the students and they had a friendly talk. Later, the First Secretary, Deputy Chief and Consul made a brief introduction of the history, culture, society and diplomacy of Slovak Republic which helped the students get a better understanding of Slovak Republic.

The Beijing Model United Nations Conference For High School Students 2007 was held in Beijing 4th High School. Tu Yongyong(Director of Moral Education Section) and Li Yahong led the school delegation to the conference. Pan Xinyi(Class 8 Grade 12), Xu Congyu(Class 8 Grade 11), Liu Jiabin(Class 2 Grade 11) and Hou Chuang(Class 3 Grade 11) represented Irac and Slovak Republic to attend the two-day conference of UNISCO, Economic and Social Concil, and Security Convil. Cao Yifan(Class 5 Grade 11) and Zhang Wenzhu(Class 8 Grade 11) volunteered in the conference.

The Autumn Sports Meeting was held on the sports ground of Capital Normal University on Oct 20th. After the opening ceremony, students had a competition of morning exercises. Students were also active in other events which lasted till 4:00. Many students showed their talents in sports and got medals for their classes.
